The Ministry is responsible for the planning, construction, management and maintenance of the country’s roads. In addition, the Ministry manages transport infrastructure throughout the country, including urban and rural roads, airports and ports, and overseeing engineering and construction projects and studies nationwide. Under the auspices of the IDB, (Inter-American Bank), and performed under subcontract to T&M, Economikr assisted in the development of a pavement management system for rural roads. This PMS included multi-criteria analysis and a socio-economic ranking procedure.
